• Question: what do you think about the moon split in half

      oooh that would be interesting! we’d end up having two moons! i wonder what effect that would have on Earth? 😀

      If the moon split in half it would affect lots of things on Earth, like the tides etc. Also, the halves may come crashing down to Earth, not good at all!

      It’d be very difficult to split the moon in half – you’d need one unbelievably large explosion or a incredible amount of force to do it! I know it happened in the movie “The Time Machine” that was made a few years ago – but that is very much science fiction.
      Our moon is very important to us though – from affecting tides and our atmosphere!
