• Question: define love in scientific terms.

      There are all sorts of things that go on chemically when people are in love… but I don’t think that’s what it’s about. I’m lucky enough to be in love (awww) and I’m not sure you can capture that with science!

      I honestly don’t know – is love based on any scientific laws? If it is, I haven’t seen any pattern. I’m dating a geologist – does that mean I’m in love on scientific terms?

      I’m not sure that can be done. Love certainly has measurable effects on us: neurochemically, physiologically, etc. The origins of love are no doubt evolutionary, but whichever way you analyse it, love is love and I’m happy with knowing that much personally.

      In science terms love is simply a chemical reaction!
