Good question Chloe – The answer to that is no! I wanted to be a doctor or a surgeon as I always wondered why different people got sick with different illnesses, and how cures for illnesses actually worked. When I did my A-Levels however I had an amazing Physics teacher who really inspired me…from that moment I knew I wanted to be a Physicist!

For this question I’d like to refer you to my recent blog post on (almost) exactly this topic. You can find it here:

      Hi Chloe Amber,
Well, for as long as I can remember I wanted to be an inventor or a vet, both of which involve science. Then when I was about 13 I went to see Apollo 13 in the cinema. Throughout the whole film I kept getting goosebumps but I didn’t know why. Then I realised it was because I wanted to be an astronaut! So I figured out that in order to be able to travel into space I’d probably need to be good at physics and maths….the rest is history! 🙂

Yes but it took me a while to realise I could do it

I don’t know – probably. I have always been interested in how things work and why they are the way they are. If that makes me a scientist, then yes.
