Tomorrow I’m going to have dinner with Prince Phillip. I actually am I’m not kidding!
He’s the president of the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 who pay for my research (I am a research fellow of theirs) – every 2 years HRH Prince Phillip attends a dinner with all the current followship holders… and tomorrow night is it!
Sometimes I really love my job – I’ve met some amazing people! I only moved to England 3.5 years ago and I never dreamed I’d be dining with royalty!!
So as much as I’d love to come to tea, I think I have a pretty good excuse not to… I can’t very well stand up royalty, now can I?
