      Hi Yasmin, I’m glad you’re interested in my work! And I do feel lucky 🙂

      I work at the Rutherford Appleton Lab which is about 15 miles south of Oxford. That’s where my office and my computer are! But the experiment I’m working on at the moment is up near Manchester at the Daresbury Laboratory – so I go up there every few weeks or so at the moment. The experiment is called EMMA and it’s the first machine of it’s kind in the world. We’ve just started to get some interesting results out of it and we’re trying to prove to the world that it works!!
      (I don’t know why they often give these things female names… if I ever get to, I want to call one BOB or FRED)
