Good question, and one that I’m probably not qualified to answer. I think in moderate amounts (ie. don’t spend all day on there!) then social interaction via Facebook is fine, in fact I find it’s a good way to keep in touch with people in Australia that I don’t get to see now I live in the UK. But if you spend all your time on there instead of interacting in the real world, you might end up a bit socially backward!
Like most things I think you should only use it sometimes, not all the time! I do check my facebook page quite often too as I use it a lot, and it’s a great way to talk to friends and family wherever they are (it’s really useful when I go away to another country!) but it’s possible to waste a lot of time on it…i’m sure going on it for 10 or 20 minutes a day wouldn’t harm you at all!
Hehe it is bad for me because I get a bit addicted to it and dont do any work 🙂
I think it can be amazing if it is used correctly though because it allows you to get to know people from the other side of the world and keep in touch with friends all over the place.
It sort of makes the world a smaller place, which is nice!
