Not signs as such, though some scientists think that methane and some other gases could indicate signs of life. But there are strong theories that there is life on other planets, or even on the moons of other planets. For example Jupiter and Saturn both have moons with liquid water oceans on them. Who knows, there might be little microbes swimming in those oceans! 😀
As far as I know we haven’t found convincing evidence of life on any other planets, but we’re certainly looking! Often, scientists are looking for quite strange signs of life, like the presence of water, or even the presence of plant life. If you’re interested in it, get involved in the setiQuest and help search for alien life yourself! http://setiquest.org/
Interesting question! So far we’ve only been able to really properly look at two other places in our solar system – the moon, and Mars. As far as we can tell, there is no way that life like ours can live on either of these planets. A few years ago, scientists thought they had found a fossil of an alien microbe on a martian rock, but the evidence isn’t very strong however. We are interested in some moons though – particularly Europa, one of Jupiters moons, where there could exist a sea under the surface – maybe there is life there! We’re still looking for Earth-like planets around other stars, but so far we have not detected any.
