      Ha, good question, because the answer changes depending on who you ask! If you asked any at NASA, they’d say you’d officially become an astronaut if you flew higer than 50 miles above the Earth (most passenger planes fly at about 6 miles above the Earth). However some other space agencies say that space doesn’t start until you are 62 miles up.
